most of the employees are miserable or don't speak english, the place is filled with smoke, dinner and drinks will easily cost you over a $100 a couple and club entry has $20 covers. i have been to the casino hundreds of times and the majority of visits are lackluster. if you don't golf there's literally nothing to do in the area unless you want to drive 45 minutes in any direction, and even then that basically means going to mystic or the beach otherwise there's really no attractions nearby.
if you want spend the weekend, bring your checkbook b/c its not cheap. sprinkle in a few poker players and the asians who mind their business and do not cause problems and you have foxwoods. 20 something steroid, guido, tan in a can go to the club and fight every weekend guy mixed with your jersey shore, snooki, wear a mini skirt and get so drunk you pass out in the waterfall only after throwing a drink in someone's face kind of girl and then you have your hardcore, 3 packs a day, retractable lanyard for your wampum card slot machine junkies. there's two types of clientele at foxwoods. Born and raised 20 minutes from Foxwoods, or as i like to call it, newyorkachusetts, b/c there's not one person in the place from anywhere but Mass or New York.
